About

Hello, and welcome to my Using Ubuntu blog. This site will cover tips, tutorials, news, security information and links to other sites covering Ubuntu that I have found interesting or useful. I’m a recent convert to using the Ubuntu operating system, and with my friend and colleague Andrew Edney, have written the Using Ubuntu Linux book published by Babani Publishing.

The book is written to provide help and guidance to setup and start using the Ubuntu desktop operating system for people who just want use a computer for the tool it’s meant to be, and don’t want to become a GNU/Linux expert. Luckily when the subject has been inundated with awards for it’s usability, this aim has now become a reality.
